Building resources for asynchronous directed study  In-Person

Building effective resources for asynchronous study requires a working knowledge of SGUL digital technologies. This will enable you to record high quality pre and post sessional content, display that content effectively to students, and ensure accessibility of that content.

What the session covers

  • How to build an effective asynchronous Canvas session page
  • How to record and edit a pre-recorded lecture activity on Panopto
  • Creating requirements and pre-requisites in Canvas units
  • Using Canvas analytics, Panopto analytics, and Units progress feature

Intended Learnign Outcomes

By the end of the session, learners should be able to:

  • edit a standard Canvas session template and populate it with content for asynchronous delivery

  • record, edit and share a Panopto recording

  • use Canvas accessibility tools
